At First Baptist Church of Boca Raton, we are committed to serving our members as well as our community in sharing Christ’s love through ministry and outreach. One of the ways we do this is through our AWANA Club. AWANA, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 in the Bible which says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.” AWANA is all about helping parents raise their children and youth to know, love, and serve Christ.

Our club meets on Wednesday’s from 7p.m. until 8:15p.m. following the school calendar from the months of September through May. Club members memorize Scripture, enjoy fellowship, and participate in game time at each meeting. Our church offers the program for children between the ages of 4 (preschool) and 12(6th grade). Kickoff for the upcoming year is September 3rd, 2008 at 6p.m., with ice cream, bounce houses, and an opportunity for registration. AWANA alumni, “Against the Tide” band will also perform at our kickoff. We hope you will join us for this most important and enjoyable evening!
